Architecture
After leaving my last academic job I specialised in architectural photography
Following early retirement from lecturing I became involved in architectural photography in Wales. My task was to help architects make ordinary and often bland buildings look presentable in brochures. Coupled with the vagaries of Welsh weather this was a challenge. More interesting jobs were documenting the renovations to Hereford Cathedral and Powys Castle. In all these efforts I made much use of the super-wide cameras which I had built.
In 1999 I photographed the Sydney Olympic buildings for Blue Print and FX magazines and took all the photographs for the brochure on the new MOD building in Filton Bristol.
